catherine_carrilloCatherine started her career at the Internal Revenue Service in 1980 in Fresno, CA. While at the service, she began as a data transcriber inputting tax returns, and over the years, she worked in customer service, collections, reviewing/processing amended personal and business returns, and many other jobs. In 2001, she moved to the San Jose office and worked as a customer service representative at the walk-in office. She worked on audits for personal and small business accounts. She became the manager of office audit before retiring after 35 years of service.

During her 35 years of service with the IRS, Catherine obtained her Enrolled Agent License. By definition, an enrolled agent (EA) is a tax professional who has achieved the highest credential the Internal Revenue Service offers. EAs are federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS and, like CPAs and attorneys, have unlimited representation rights. EAs can also represent any tax matter and appeal to any office of the IRS. An enrolled agent is a federally accredited tax practitioner who may represent taxpayers before the IRS and in any state.

Catherine joined RND Tax Incentives compliance team and supports our clients with multiple IRS issues, such as Information Document Requests (IDR), Risk Mitigation and Audit services, ERC eligibility analysis, and any other compliance-related issues that may arise for our clients.
